Inter-High School Debate Competition: A Youth Committed to Social Justice

On Tuesday, March 4, ASSEDEL is organizing an inter-high school debate competition on the theme of social justice at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This event will bring together eight students from two institutions, Lycée Jean Rostand and Lycée Fustel de Coulanges, who will compete in pairs to defend their ideas and sharpen their critical thinking skills.

The debates will focus on three key themes:
– Education and access to resources
– Employment and social inclusion
– Civic participation and youth engagement

These topics are at the heart of young generations’ concerns, as they shape the world of tomorrow. Through this exercise in rhetoric and argumentation, participants will have the opportunity to develop their analytical skills, improve their public speaking, and strengthen their civic engagement by addressing these major societal issues.

This contest is much more than a simple exchange of ideas; it is a true invitation to reflection and action on a fundamental issue for all: social justice. By encouraging young people to express themselves and debate in a prestigious setting, ASSEDEL reaffirms its commitment to fostering an engaged youth, determined to defend human rights and build a fairer future.

Join us on March 4 for a day of exciting and inspiring debates! In order to attend the event as audience members, please register here.
