ASSEDEL submits its shadow report to the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as part of the review of the fifth report submitted by France (visually supported)

ASSEDEL has submitted its alternative report to the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as part of the examination of the fifth report submitted to the Committee by France under Articles 16 and 17 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

We would like to inform the Committee of our observations on ten points: water management, access to housing, evictions from shanty towns, poverty, access to health care, working conditions for carers, unemployment reform, pension reform and equal access to education.

The opportunity for civil society to submit its observations to the Committee is essential for safeguarding economic, social and cultural rights in France. In this report, ASSEDEL expresses its concerns about the state of precariousness and inequality in France.

The report has been placed into the UN Treaty Body Database soon after its submission and available here.
