On October 2026, ASSEDEL organised an enriching training session with Gerhard Ermischer, current president of the Conference of INGOs. During the session, an in-depth analysis was carried out of the role of the Council of Europe (CoE), the importance of its conventions and the fundamental impact of the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (CINGO) on the defence of human rights.
On the 5th of October 2026, the ASSEDEL team had the privilege to have a training session with Cesare Pinelli from the Venice Commission for Italy. The session started off with very brief introductions of the interns and it then moved on to the introduction, history, function and challenges of the Venice Commission. The interns gained essential insights into the Venice Commission’s role in safeguarding the Rule of Law and its work with countries facing complex political transitions, from Poland and Hungary to Tunisia.
