EMERALD Project

“Empowering Migrant Workers for a Sustainable Future: Upskilling and Reskilling for Green and Digital Jobs” is the title of the EMERALD project, an ambitious Erasmus+ initiative that aims to empower migrant workers by improving their access to green and digital jobs across Europe.

What is EMERALD about?

The EMERALD project focuses on creating innovative Re-skilling Labs—practical training spaces dedicated to the upskilling and reskilling of migrant workers. These labs not only foster new competencies but also promote collaboration between public and private stakeholders, supporting a smoother integration into the rapidly evolving labor market.

A key element of the project is the development of a strong communication strategy to raise awareness of its impact on individual, institutional, and regional levels. Effective communication ensures EU visibility, engages key stakeholders, and facilitates the sharing of best practices and success stories.

ASSEDEL’s Role:

ASSEDEL (Association Européenne pour la Sensibilisation au Développement Durable et à l’Égalité Locale), based in Strasbourg, plays a central role in EMERALD: we are the lead partner responsible for the project’s communication and dissemination strategy.

Our responsibilities include coordinating communication efforts across all partner organizations, ensuring consistent messaging in line with Erasmus+ visibility guidelines, enhancing outreach, and monitoring the effectiveness of dissemination activities. By leveraging digital platforms, public events, and media outreach, ASSEDEL aims to amplify EMERALD’s impact and encourage the replication of its model across Europe.

A European Network for a More Inclusive Future:

The EMERALD project is carried out by a diverse consortium of 14 organizations from across Europe, including Soleterre – Strategie di Pace Onlus, ASLAM Cooperativa Sociale, Formaper – Milano Chamber of Commerce (Italy), Uciliste Ambitio and the Institute for Development and International Relations (Croatia), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Valladolid, Confederación Sindical Independiente FETICO, and Instituto para el Fomento del Desarrollo y la Formación SL (Spain), Le Monde des Possibles ASBL, Synlar ASBL, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brussels (Belgium), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Caritas Sofia (Bulgaria), and ASSEDEL (France).

Together, these partners are building a more inclusive and sustainable labor market by providing migrant workers with the skills they need for the green and digital transitions.

Stay Connected:

The EMERALD journey has just begun, but its goals are clear: to create a more inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready European workforce.
