ASSEDEL is committed to ensuring the defense of vulnerable migrants who have encountered various difficulties in the exercise of their rights.
In order to defend the migrants’ rights in the field, ASSEDEL launches an assistance project for the procedures before French administrative authorities; l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides, l’Office Français de l’Immigration et de l’Intégration, etc.
The project will work to provide advice and guidance to vulnerable persons, and resort to appropriate legal remedies if necessary.

What have we done so far?
Until the end of 2023, as part of our project, the work carried out is as following :
Our work in the area of legal aid takes a variety of forms, principally legal and social support.
In this respect, we have dealt with a number of requests (non-exhaustive list):
- by more than 40 people, in connection with asylum procedures; drafting of statements, third-party intervention, communication with lawyers,
- by 6 people, in connection with removal procedures; placement in a transit zone, refusal of entry, OQTF, etc.,
- by 22 people, on questions relating generally to the rights of foreign nationals; marriage, obtaining visas, naturalization, regularization apart from asylum, etc.
- by 7 people, in connection with various civil and criminal legal proceedings,
- by 26 people, about access to rights after regularization,
- by 11 people, in particular with regard to access to education.
