Submission by ASSEDEL to the UN Human Rights Council for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the frame of the 41th session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR)

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a process that involves a periodic review of the human rights records of 193 UN Member States. ASSEDEL submits its first UPR report for the Kingdom of the Netherlands that includes three key issues, a) police violence against minorities and peaceful protesters, b) alleged discrimination and ethnic profiling by the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst), and c) alleged discrimination against dual citizens on their applications to convert their driving licenses. The report provides relevant recommendations to the Dutch authorities for the resolution of alleged human rights violations.
