Once has been considered a developing democracy, Turkey is losing grounds for fundamental human rights in most universal indexes in recent years. According to the Corruption Perceptions Index, Turkey ranks 86th out of 180 countries with a score of 40.
Considering the lack of transparency, the tendency of authoritarianism, and the corruption allegations, ASSEDEL sheds light on the gravity of the current level of corruption in Turkey and indicate how it paralyzes the functioning of the democratic institutions in the country by means of analyzing the notion of corruption in the light of interrelated subjects.
