ASSEDEL submits a request for a third party intervention before the ECHR

This Wednesday 27 January, ASSEDEL made a request for leave to intervene as a third party in the case of Mümtazer TÜRKÖNE v. Turkey before the European Court of Human Rights.

As provided in article 36(2) of the European Convention on Human Rights and in Rule 44(3) of the Rules of Court, the President of the Court may permit any person concerned other than the applicant to provide the court with information to assist it in the decision-making process. Nonetheless, the intervener should not comment upon the facts or merits of the case.
In this respect, ASSEDEL proposed to intervene as an independent amicus curiae for the above mentioned case.
