ASSEDEL has communicated to UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education for Netherlands

Considering four different occasions in the Netherlands, ASSEDEL has reported the complaints of parents on the right to education of their minor children to three UN rapporteurs. The major issues are relevant to inefficient and under-planned asylum procedures in the Netherlands. The parents complain that the families are being transferred without their consent to another region of the country where a different education and grading system applies.

The report has been presented to the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education, and UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues, and demanded the investigation of the issues to protect the right to education of minor children.
